The Magic of East Bali
Trip to the east visiting the famous Kertha Gosa or Royal Court of Justice was built in Klungklung in the 18th century, displays one of Bali's masterpieces and Tenganan village which is a symmetrically laid out Bali Aga village with a walled homes and unique crafts. Bali Aga was the original inhabitant of Bali, before the arrival of Hindu Javanese.   This tour combines the finest aspects of the island’s historical legacy, natural splendor, and ancient tradition. At Semarapura, proudly stands an ancient court house named Kerta Gosa. The paintings on its ceiling depict an interesting story of a soul’s journey. Proceeding through the verdant southern flank of Mount Agung, Bali’s highest volcano, one will never stop marveling at the magnificent natural beauty. Vast rice fields, meandering rivers and undulating mountains. By mid afternoon, we will arrive at the ancient village of Tenganan which inhabitants are known as the Bali Aga or pure Balinese people. Here tradition is kept with strict discipline and utmost respect. The people here are known as expert weavers who produce exquisite woven fabric and baskets. A refreshing stop will be rewarded for lunch at one of the sea side restaurants at the charming village of Candi Dasa. Rates available upon request
