6 Days JAVA Overland Trip

Traveling from west to the central Java - explore the historical sites of ancient Javanese kingdoms and ruins of the Dutch colony.

DAY 01: ARRIVE JAKARTA – BOGOR
Arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport of Jakarta, meeting service and transfer via toll way to Bogor. Overnight at Hotel in Bogor.

DAY 02: BOGOR – BANDUNG
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to Bogor Botanical Garden, which dominates the center of the city and covering an immense 87 ha, then the Zoological Museum, contains an extensive collection of stuffed, dried and preserved fauna. Road to Puncak, climbs steadily, winding its way through a manicured landscape of tea plantations. After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Bandung for stay overnight.

DAY 03: BANDUNG
After breakfast, drive up to Tangkuban Perahu crater (capsized boat crater), the most accessible volcanic crater in Indonesia. The road via Lembang, passing through rich agriculture land, with terraces of market garden crops. After lunch, return to hotel, and free at leisure in the afternoon.

DAY 04: BANDUNG – JOGJAKARTA
Early breakfast at hotel, then transfer to railway station for day train to Jogjakarta (air-conditioned cabin). The trip will offer you the scenery of high and lowlands of Java island. Lunch box on-board. Afternoon arrival in Jogjakarta, meeting service and followed with a trip to Java’s most impressive Hindu temple of Prambanan. Overnight at hotel in Yogyakarta

DAY 05: JOGJAKARTA
Breakfast at hotel. Full day trip to the world famous Borobudur temple, passes the village of Muntilan which is famous for its stone carvings. Borobudur temple is the greatest of all Indonesian monuments, around 1200 years old, this is the world’s largest Buddhist monument. Over the centuries it became buried under jungle growth and volcanic ash. A massive restoration project has delivered Borobudur to its former glory. The visit will continue to the nearby Pawon & Mendut temples, then return to the city for lunch at local restaurant. Continue to Kraton of Jogja (Sultan’s Palace), batik home industry, Kotagede silverworks and “Wayang Kulit” leather puppet exhibition show. In the evening, depart by Andong - horse chart to enjoy dinner, followed by Ramayana Ballet performance at Purawisata. Return to hotel, overnight.

DAY 06: JOGJAKARTA – BALI
Breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure until time to be transferred to the airport for flight to Denpasar, Bali. On arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport, meeting service and transfer to your hotel in Bali (note: accommodation in Bali is not included in the package price).
