4 Days TORAJA Experience

Toraja means "Men of the Mountains". Tana Toraja (or Toraja Land) is called Land of Heavenly Kings, whose ancestor-oriented group believes that their forefathers descended from heaven onto a mountain some twenty generations ago. Their colorful culture is especially rich in elaborate sacrificial, postmotuary , and cave burial sites.

DAY 01: UJUNG PANDANG – TORAJA
Morning arrival at Hasanuddin Airport of Ujung Pandang, meeting service and continue with an approximately 8 hours drive to Toraja Land passing the spectacular scenery of the mountains and crossing the Bugis villages with their typical houses on poles. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Pare-Pare. Late afternoon arrival in Toraja, direct to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 02-03: TORAJA
Breakfast and dinner at hotel. Two full day tours visit the stone grave at Lemo, an old traditional Toraja house at Siguntu, Londa for its natural burial cave, traditional carving village at Ke’te Kesu, Palawa and Nanggala to explore traditional Toraja villages with buffalo horns in front of the houses, traditional weaving village at Sa’dan and an ancient megalithic stone at Bori. Lunch at local restaurant.

DAY 04: TORAJA – UJUNG PANDANG – AIRPORT
Return to Ujung Pandang with stop at Pare-Pare for lunch. On arrival in the city, direct to airport for your afternoon flight to next destination.
